Christianity is currently in a state of trendiness on many fronts, including the mission of the church. Being “incarnational” is just as trendy today as being “purpose-driven” or “seeker-sensitive” was in years gone by. Web(Antioch: Incarnational Theology & Ministry; ed. J. This “practical” understanding of the Incarnation has led the church of Antioch to found hospitals and schools and training centers for the handicapped, and recently to care for large numbers of refugees.
