WebI ran into this exact issue myself with my ASUS Zephyrus Duo SE. The solution was pressing the button immediately to the left of the power button. It says "^/PgUp" on it. Letters 7 & 8 in alpabet, primarily. 0 & 1 in numeric keypad, quote key, left Alt, up arrow key, sometimes Esc key. Sometimes te system works, possibly more commonly works wen power is connected instead of on battery.
