WebAug 26, 2013 · i'm building a univibe clone as well, but with many popular mods, so it's not an exact replica of the vintage unit anyway, i've had issues with the LFO section, in particular i noticed that at slower rates the bulb was pulsating weakly; at higher speed instead, the bulb-swings got more brilliant, and the resulting effect was much deeper (and nicer!)

WebJan 22, 2024 · Got a Photon Vibe and EQD Depths clone. Both are good but differ a bit. Good for different things really. I debated on doing a Uni-Vibe clone but decided against it. EQD Depths can get really damn close. I might be persuaded to do a JHS Unicorn clone. That one is likely to be much, much easier to dick with than a Uni-Vibe clone. WebDec 29, 2024 · Univibe repair advice needed. If it sound right it is right. The bulb isn't to read by, so as long as you like the sound, no need to go trying to brighten it. Though there are ways to do that . Your unit seems to be missing the light shield, the little (shiny) metal box that encloses the bulb+LDRs. That will deepen the sound a bit.
